    Probably missing an attachment (font), could be cool to get a patch for it (officially). And ep 4 is fine in that regard.

  2. Gotrys writes:

    ^ Yeah, it’s weird it’s only EP 3. But patch? Highly unlikely.

  3. coalgirl writes:

    Yeah, a font was missing and wasn’t caught due to a technical glitch. Considering how crappy the files were before we touched them though, if that’s the only problem I consider it a success.

    You can find the font at this location. Simply download it, extract it, right click it, and select “install” and episode 03 will play fine.

    Thank you!

  5. Dave writes:

    Probably not v2 worthy, but you misspelled Tsukimonogatari for the playall files.
    Unless it was a joke of some sort.

    My tab-happy left hand is not pleased.

    hi.. i followed u guys from bakabt.com. do you require to seed your torrents ? even though the site doesn’t ask for registration or anything. thank you for the torrents ^^ appreciate it

    Is there a reason at 00:38 and 03:49 in episode 4, that Ougi’s subtitles don’t pop up? It only lasts for a few seconds, but nonetheless they don’t appear.

    • coalgirl writes:

      This has to do with your computer. Both come after complicated typesetting. Your computer is lagging during these typeset scenes, and to compensate, it removes the lines to catch up.

    @J3igGuy
    May only be on your side, are you sure you’re not skipping around in the video?

  9. Jonesy974 writes:

    Is this 8 or 10bit?

  10. J3igGuy writes:

    @coalgirl

    Thanks. Do you happen to know what maybe causing the lag? Or any ways of fixing it? Mad props to you guys for those typeset scenes. Those were really cool.

    Stop watching shit on a toaster.

    Are the commentaries subbed?

  13. DevilJhoe writes:

    i know this is not he place to ask, but i want to know. are you guys gonna do hanamonogatari?

  14. Christown writes:

    @DevilJhoe

    Hana is in their Second Season release.

    @Derp-san

    lol

  16. saga writes:

    ahaha right . the file name of play all is : [Coalgirls]_Tuskimonogatari_Playall_(1920x1080_Blu-ray_FLAC). is it typo?

  17. Some Guy writes:

    Just wondering: At 9:53 into episode 2, is the typesetting supposed to read backwards? It doesn’t seem like it should, but I can’t be absolutely certain.

    • coalgirl writes:

      Yes, it should. The kanji is written backwards. Not mirrored, just in reverse order. We could have decided to write it normally, but decided on this to keep the same effect as the Japanese version.

    I’m not sure how you can watch anything on a toaster, because it’s usually used for baking bread, but whatever…

    However, Coalgirls’ releases always tend to lag for no reason, and if you think it’d be better to watch them on a TV – you ARE wrong, because TVs can’t play 10bit. Also, 4 episodes – 4,6 GB! Oh, the lulz!

    And, love me like you do, love, love, love me like you doooooooooooo

    I knew you would be doing this!
    I actually teared up a bit.
    THANK YOU AND BLESS YOU

    For episode 3’s font issue, I assume something like this will sort it without relying on the font being installed:
    mkvmerge -o fonty-ep3.mkv ep3.mkv –attachment-mime-type application/x-truetype-font –attach-file MyriadPro-Regular_0.otf

    I see episode 3 is missing at least one other font that episode 2 has, is MyriadPro-Regular_0 the only one that’s actually needed for episode 3?

  21. Grepufurutsu writes:

    I am having the same problem as J3igGuy reported. The subtitles at 00:38 and 03:49 in episode 4 don’t pop up at all? I just can’t seem to find a way to make them pop up.
    I might be more specific and say that this is happening with the 1080p version. Also, it’s impossibile that this is happening due to my PC not being able to keep up, it’s a gaming rig assembled just half a year ago with almost top notch stuff…

  22. anon writes:

    I see you guys added the commentary. Will you be subbing the commentary too? If not, is there anyone else to turn to?

  23. bosskardo writes:

    is Hanamonogatari in plans too?

  24. migx writes:

    According to MAL, you girls did hanamonogatari as well, where can I find it?

  25. Cat writes:

    Should I take it as assumed that Owarimonogatari has been summarily dropped before it is aired?

  26. Sarreq Teryx writes:

    OK, so AniDB is claiming this is 5 episodes long, and that you’ve only done eps 2-5. what’s that about?

  27. Wario writes:

    @Sarreq Teryx: That “first” episode is just the other four concatenated into one file. Source AniDB.

  28. Soluna writes:

    Thanks so much for doing this~

  29. milaano writes:

    how did you make a play-all-no-OP/ED file for this? Because I want to make one for Hanamonogatari..
