What about the inclusion of Russian subtitles?

  13. Lemon writes:

    *waits*

  14. coalgirl writes:

The subs included are those that are on the BD that can be OCRed. I’m not intending to include any others.

  15. dymitr writes:

Love that you’re doing this. Quite nostalgic since this was my first ever anime-movie.

6xRus sub & 5xRus dub – may be added on russian trackers, look it there. 😉

    Hi10P I presume? Both for 1080p and 72op versions?

  18. akiba-kei writes:

Yeah, the syncro can be a hassle.
I’ll be waiting for this rilis!

    Nice!

  21. bob barker writes:

Hoping for this outcome for both crowds of people.

    10bit = 1080p
    8bit = 720p
    (or the sizes mentioned, whichever)

    Many people would appreciate both.

  22. WhiteCat writes:

Yay! Pretty excited about this. I’ve been trying to create my own version of this, but your ever so much better. 🙂

I just wonder… Are audio tracks so big that it makes 1080p & 720p differ only 2.7GB in size?

  24. revo writes:

well JPN audio is 3GB and english is ~680mb

  25. 1Logic writes:

the audio tracks must be huge considering the small file difference between 720p and 1080p

  26. akiba-kei writes:

    At least! <3

    Thora comparison?

  29. Goshtic writes:

On the subject of audio tracks. Mandarin and Cantonese audio track are labeled incorrectly. The Mandarin audio track is actually spoken in cantonese, while the Cantonese audio track is spoken in Mandarin.

  30. revo writes:

it seems that Thora has used unpatched 10bit x264 ?

  31. fulun writes:

Seems adenozin is back at last, you guys can close down now. 🙂

  32. xx writes:

    THORA’s not doing 720p 🙁

  33. Alex writes:

@Revo I doubt it, Thora and especially adenozin know their shit. They wouldn’t make a mistake like that.

  34. revo writes:

well then how do you explain this ?

    Thora – http://goo.gl/oZUdu

    CGI – http://goo.gl/YN8oh

    REVO – http://goo.gl/IvSR2

    Looks little red ?

  35. anon-niisama writes:

So have any 1080 comparison stills been made between this encode and Thora’s? Are there any differences in the encode?

  36. asd writes:

@Goshtic They always fucking do that. I think they’re trolling Chinese people because they’re massive faggy weeaboos.

  37. Alex writes:

    @Revo

I don’t know. If you want an answer, Ask on Thoras site or their IRC.

  38. revo writes:

I don’t need one .I see the problem clearly and for some reason they used 16bit FLAC for Japanese audio :\

  39. razer08 writes:

Jo guys would somebody pls so kind to upload the german 5.1 on megaupload pls ^^ that would be awesome : ) onegai

  40. akiba-kei writes:

    Thora 1080p – 9.71 GB
    Coalgirls 720p – 9.12 GB

    where is the little difference?
    just curious 🙂

  41. TS writes:

Well CG has more audio tracks, you would have to even them out for a true bitrate comparison.

  42. ???????? writes:

@TS :No they don’t ,they both have the same audio tracks.THORA has encode the tracks that are not jap/eng to vorbis to save size since most people that download it wont use them. @Revo : Why ask then , a question mark implies you don’t know the answer .Also why not complain that the Japanese audio isn’t 6.1 on Coalgirls release since its on the disc http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=VWBS-1288 if you like pointless audio that you cant hear the difference on most peoples set ups ?

  43. TS writes:

    @????
Well I guess my point was that there’s no real point in comparing the overall filesize, only the video bitrate.

  44. revo writes:

    @????? Whaaat ?

where did you find 6.1 ? I was talking about 16 bit and 24 bit flac

    16bit flac = ~1.3GB
    24bit flac= ~3GB

At the time I wasn’t sure about that so that is why there is “?”

  45. ???????? writes:

@revo: Did you even bother to look at the link i posted, its advertised with DTS-HD master audio 6.1 audio and it is on the bluray.Futher proof – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=me4wnhuOQCk ,the point i was making is that if you want to whine then why not moan that its not on the rip as well since your obviously a fan of pointlessly large audio tracks on rips that don’t benefit from them .

  46. revo writes:

I have the bluray and there is no 6.1 audio track
6.1 audio track is on tales of earthsea
Im a fan of untouched audio = lossless (24 to 16bit flac is not lossless)

  47. bob barker writes:

So is this 10bit or 8bit?

  48. Sugar writes:

why is it that when i’m watching this movie the audio will be faster than the anime and after a few moments the movie will be soundless so that the movie will catch up to where the audio stopped and it continued on and on till the end of the movie… is this a prob of my laptop or codec?

  49. LM writes:

@Sugar: Your CPU is too slow. It can’t decode the video fast enough.

  50. Sugar writes:

    @LM: i thought something like that as well… thanks…
