    Anything uncensored?

  2. DmonHiro writes:

Out of pure curiosity, what is your take on splicing NCOP/NCED into the episodes?

  3. muizz93 writes:

can u give me a reason why r u pick ruri over underwater-commie?
if i were u i would pick commie over ruri

  4. Sayer writes:

As soon as I saw CRF13 I knew it was you, I’ll give it a go =D

  5. DmonHiro writes:

@muizz93: because the Ruri translation is much better, and is NOT localized. CR simplified many of the longer lines into shorter ones, and lost nuances. Also, Dazi actually went through the trouble of removing the honorifics, for no other reason then to be a dick.

  6. DmonHiro writes:

Sorry for the double post, uhm… I would like to make a request for this release.
Could you please include chapters? If not, that’s OK.

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

No splicing, hence why NCOP,ED were included you can do so if you wish. Same goes for chapters.

  7. muizz93 writes:

    i got ur point, thx

  8. Noko writes:

Not a bad choice for this season. Good pick Tenshi.

  9. Shadow writes:

is there any chance of u picking up madoka when it comes out

  10. alfredonm writes:

Thanks!!!!, hope you also do Zombie desuka!

  11. suiton writes:

This is a must get for me.

    =)

I was getting Ruri, but I just deleted their episodes from my HDD and I’ll be waiting for your nicer 1080p BluRay releases.

  12. Tri_Edge writes:

I’ll be taking 1080p Tank you!

  13. Eba writes:

will anyone be uploading a ddl for 1080p? D:

  14. DmonHiro writes:

@Tenshi: No, I wasn’t asking if you’d do it, I was asking your general opinion on it. And I don’t mind the lack of chapters, it’s just that sometimes, people forget to add them. The release is great anyway.

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

Well the reason I don’t chapter is cause I never use em. I find the seek bar in any media player fine for stuff like that. As for the splicing, I try to remain as close to the original as possible when I encode things. This is also why I have a dislike for filtering and refuse to hardsub.

  15. dragon132004 writes:

Way to go for picking ruri subs… I like their subs better.
Thanks a lot for this cool release.

    any chance for 1080 DDL?

  17. bikar writes:

what kind of server is that ?

  18. IZEROII writes:

Unlocalized > localized so good call. Ehhh crf 13 but i’m taking 1080 regardless. lol.

    nice
can you give me some links
    Im looking for dedi
    please 🙂

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

The servers that me and coalgirl use are actually hosted at my home. I have multiple internet lines that come into my apartment. After encodes are done we transfer them to seedboxes.

  21. bikar writes:

    hah
btw. what programs do you use for encodes and does it use all 6 cores?
That AMD 6core is rly cheap and in few weeks bulldozers will be available (up to 8 cores) so i wonder how will that work with encoding

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

x264 generally uses up quite a bit of resources. If all cores aren’t used we just load up multiple instances (encode the 720 and 1080 at the same time).
I actually intend to buy a dozer or 2 when they launch to add to our farm. However that wont be until summer at least, not to mention I need to grab a Cisco 2801 to handle the bandwidth we are pushing out from the latest net upgrade I did.

  22. bikar writes:

    well what can I say
thanks for the info and keep up your good work

  23. bautrey writes:

I thought u were gonna do Yumekui Merry first…

Also LOL @ all the rest of you.

  27. Noko writes:

Tenshi all that talk with biker about CPU’s interested me. What kind of set up are you personally using?

  28. Tri_Edge writes:

I also have an AMD x6 BE in my set up.
Strong enough to play your encodes xD

    • zaockle writes:

any dual core is strong enough to play his encodes. I run an athlon x2 3.2 ghz with coreavc and never have issues.

  29. Tri_Edge writes:

    @zaockle
I know that any dual core will play his encodes, even my 5 year old dual core crappy laptop will play them just fine… i don’t use coreavc.
It was meant to be a joke!

    XD

    his ?

  31. daikama writes:

Great release as usual Tenshi – thanks for keeping up the bit rate on the 1080p. Makes a big difference.

I know you’re keeping other planned projects secret for now, but I hope Kore wa Zombie Desuka? is one of them. Probably my favorite this season…might even DL the BDMVs for that. Wouldn’t mind Freezing either XD.

RE: CPUs, AMD is certainly a better value, but clock per clock (same # cores obviously), you still can’t beat i7s right now. Bulldozer better be a lot better than Phenom since the “SandyBridge EX” ( LGA 2011 socket) should rock at 32nm. I would think an OC to 4.5Ghz on air fairly routine, but gah, the costs of a new board + cpu + maybe a new set of DDR3 if the socket’s quad channel (which would suck since I just bought a 4GBx3 set)! That’s one nice thing about AMD – they don’t screw customers with constant socket changes.

  32. bikar writes:

yea just update your bios and you are good to go 😀

i7 980 is the best right now but the price is just too big

I have athlon II x4 635 + ASrock 770 Extreme 3 and for the price I rly cant complain
    It has usb 3.0 and 6gb SATA3

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

We actually have an i7-970 @ 4ghz in the farm right now. While it was excessively expensive, the performance is top notch. It can churn out 1080 and 720 encodes at 3/5 the time it takes the 1055T @3.7 to do. I use it in when I need to get something done NOW. Otherwise i batch it up on a quad or the x6s.

  33. bikar writes:

    I hate you 🙂
Did you try to clock it even higher ?
new Sandy cpu can get even to 5.5 on air

    http://www.bug.hr/_cache/16f216c2fff188a6421f0e33fa40b8b4.jpg

I now its not necessary but just for testing purposes

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

I have found that many of these uber high benchmark runs are fine…. for about 10mins before errors or BSODs or other randomness happens. We need our machines to be 100% stable under 100% load for days on end. I found pushing above 4ghz would require excessive cooling measures, the CPU is water cooled as it is and moving to phase change would just make the system even more cost prohibitive than it currently is.

  34. bikar writes:

    fuck my english 🙁

  35. bikar writes:

    yea I know
no one keeps it @5.5 24/7 and as you can see it passed stress test
I was just wondering if you try to OC it higher for some benchmarks….

I don’t know about you but I find that very amusing 😀

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

I unno, if somethings not stable I don’t see the point of pushing it just cause you can. I pushed mine up to 4.4 but stability and temps forced it back down. 🙁

  36. Noko writes:

    @Tenshi

    Sorry late reply.

Anyway yeah the specs of your encoding sever.

I myself am looking to set one up soon when I relocate my living arrangements.

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

You don’t need anything fancy. I just say grab a cheap AMD x6 1055t, 8gb of RAM, and lots of HDD space and your set.

  37. Noko writes:

    Ah okay I see.

What are your thoughts on a 2600k for encoding would it out do a 1100t?

  38. Kagerou writes:

I know a lot of people don’t like it, but are there any plans to pick up Infinite Stratos?

  39. bikar writes:

why 8gb of ram ? x264 dosnt use much

  40. ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

2600k is a good choice however at 2x the cost of a 1055t (here anyways), its just not cost effective. Not to mention the new corrected sandy mobos are impossible to find. As for 8gb, no reason not to RAM is cheap.

  41. bikar writes:

and which hard drive do you recommend ?

  42. ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

I use Intel SSDs for OS drives and WD Blacks for data. Avoid green type drives from any company at all costs, they are just terrible in performance.

  43. bikar writes:

    yes green HDDs are lame
    I use one as external

    For OS I use Samsung F3 500gb X2 in Raid 0 (im getting 200mb/s)
they are rly cheap and relatively fast just access time is slow compared to SSD

I think they are even faster then 2x WD Black 640gb

  44. ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

RAID0 is meh for data, and in an OS drive its better to have better seek times IMO. We use a strong central storage server for our data, its powered by a 3ware 9690SA. IRC is probably a better place to have this talk, I loiter in the coalgirls channel most of the time.

  45. Tri_Edge writes:

    @Tenshi
What would i need to encode a bdmv, besides a powerful pc.

  46. bikar writes:

    knowledge and fast internet 🙂

  47. ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

^^ Ya pretty much, its way too long to explain in a simple post like this.

  48. Tri_Edge writes:

Knowledge is something i lack,my neighbor provides the second.
Internet is not as fast as the ones you have but it’ll do
If i come to irc will you teach me then.

  49. ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

All of the encoders I know are self taught. The amount of material that you need to read and understand is quite significant. If your looking for a place to start, try grabbing an app called handbrake that was the app I used when I first started out.

  50. Tri_Edge writes:

    It’s a start i guess.
    Thanks.
