Episodes – 70 + 2
Video – 1440×1080 @ crf 19, 960×720 @ crf 18
Audio – 5.1 FLAC
Subs – R1 (Heavily Modified, Re-styled)

Torrent – 1080p – 720p

We had two options. We could either release the movies in 8-bit or re-encode the entire series to 10-bit using BDMVs instead of raws this time. We chose the latter.
Thanks to Techguru for providing fixed scripts (which we changed back to our own style).

    98.5%? I wish… I’m hovering at 70% for now. Every once in a while, d/l kicks in with the breakneck speed of < 1kb – remaining time somewhere between 200 and 300 days.

    Any ideas how to speed this up? Separate downloads of the earlier torrents with the segments of this torrent?

    Especially the first episodes are incomplete – should have downloaded them when available instead of waiting for this batch.

    I didn’t either, but Kiss x Sis took up my bandwidth for 2 days, so I did all of Sakura then.

    Which would explain the black border. No matter how much cropping I tried I kept on getting that. Never thought it’d be a typo in the resizer. 1080p is fine, but I’m re-encoding the 720p.

    I just wanted to say two things: First, this is an amazing release, thank you so much (for this and for lain, god i love that anime); Second, I have an odd issue with the openings and endings for EVERY single episode where my player seems to hang and the video lags behind the audio before synching back up every second or two. I’m not sure if it’s the subtitles or what, but I’m very confused though aside from that the episode itself works great.

    The audio, video and the subs in the bigining and in the episode are playing just fine. Its only the ED Karaoke subs that I have a problem with.

    The problems lie within karaoke, some pc(s) are just not powerful enough to play them properly. So in order for the video to play smoothly, you can:
    – Momentarily turns off the subtitles.
    – Momentarily enable DirectVobSub’s “Pre-buffer subpictures”.
    – Or you can skip the opening altogether (which is what I usually do.)

    Would just like to put my 2c (i.e. whining) in about the kara–I have a i5-750 OC’d to 3.5GHz and GTX460, and I still get lag on both the first ED and second OP, in the 720p version using CoreAVC/CCCP. Enabling pre-buffering just makes the subs stutter and not be visible most of the time, though it does keep the video running smoothly. For some reason, the karaoke animations used for that are just absurd. Are people saying that terrible computers all running 4GHz Bloomfields or what? Obviously this is not an issue with the main show, and it’s not like I really want to watch the OP/ED every time, but seriously…

    I know Ps3mediaserver can stream mkv but it won’t let you copy it to the ps3 with the subtitles.

    @jnez you have to re-encode it yourself and hard sub them in like Bk said. With that said, if you want to play them on the ps3, without streaming, you have to make sure the AVC profile is 4.1 or less and bframes are 4 or less. Those are the two deal breakers. Also, if aren’t streaming, the ps3 will not play .mkv which means you can make a crappy .avi version or use .mp4 or .m2ts. mp4 needs aac audio and CAN NOT use .ass/.ssa subs while m2ts needs ac3 audio and CAN use .ass/.ssa subs. Basically, if your connection and computer are beast enough to stream without lag or it getting choppy I would go that route. I think I got everything right here, if not anyone feel free to critique 🙂

I’ve only watched one episode from this release, to see what it looked like- it’s so beautiful! I can’t wait to rewatch the entire series.
