In order to keep the option of doing season 2 available, I felt I needed to fix this series. I fixed a few errors in the subs, and re-encoded to 10-bit. I also did the ED a little different this time, concentrating more on the video and less on the credits. I am still not sure if I will do season 2 or not, but this changes it from a definite “no” to a “maybe”.

    Something got fucked up in episode 8, the ending is too long for the song, it’s moving slower than the original ending.

      Even if you read our about page and saw that we never do patches, it still would be pointless. Everything is new, so the patch would be at least the size of the final encode.

    I checked and the subs are just slightly modified versions of the old release, not the “cleaned up script” from Mazui’s batch release

    Let me check your logic. I should be fine with the Mazui script in Coalgirls latest update of Oreimo since I should be able to understand what’s going on but forgo that same script Coalgirl uses that has been updated by Mazui themselves? Hmm. Yeah… Also those “tv quality” are BDs.

    What’s next? Having issue on the quality of the encode by either group?

And would you rather have a script that has tons of distracting English errors breaking your immersion, or a script that’s properly presented and gets everything right? Actually, scratch that. Judging by your grammar, I doubt you’d be able to point out English problems in the first place.

      The original Mazui subs were quite good. I wouldn’t say they have tons of distracting English errors breaking your immersion. But I chose to use the originals modified because they include some original translations, making it closer to a release from us.

    That was more just my argument against his general statement about “why care about the quality of the subs?” Mazui’s original subs *were* pretty decent to begin with, and I understand the reasoning for adjusting the subs from your own release instead of using their batch.
