BD 720p ghibli films = epic !! ^_^
Yeah grabbem all. Most even have really good english dubs as well. Shocking as that maybe to some. Was to me at least when I watched one by accident in english. XD
I found these titles having good english dubs to be:
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Spirited away
Kiki’s Delivery Service
Porco Rosso
Princess Mononoke
Howl’s Moving Castle
Would certaining enjoy seeing these again but in 720p BD =D
I only have the Cantonese Chinese dubbed version, so this is going to be great! Thanks for providing these!
Have you seen the yamadas bdmv available to download anywhere & do you plan on doing it if you have ?
I haven’t.
My only question is there are two English dubs. One done by Disney and then the original dub. I assume the English track is the original just didn’t know if you could confirm that?
Status – DLing Raw (11/41 GB DLed) <—Is that supposed to be BDMV or actually a RAW!!??
@drago
That’s the BDMV, I downloaded it myself and yes it’s quite large.
Also, Coalgirls. If you have a premium fileserve account the site shareraw.com has most new share bdmvs. I downloaded this overnight. WAY faster than share/pd (but they don’t have old stuff, and they take a few days to post new stuff).
Hello!
Awesome upload! nausicaa is one of the best anime movies made and in this quality must be to die for.
Cheers.
that site shareraw must have big profit
now I use hotfile but fileserve was faster
and premium is a must
btw I think Coalgirl knows for that site
I’m sorry to say but Thora’s already ripped this and Thora’s quality is usually the best. I suggest trashing this.
I’m sorry to say but you’re retarded. I suggest suicide.
@above
slammed.
He mad.
That even didn’t worked as a joke. Someone opened the kindergarten doors.
Where is it?
Hello?
^Are you the Viridian City Gym Leader?
I’ve already got THORA’s release, but I’ll suss this out before I make up my mind.
can you provide us some screenshots ? please 🙂
Yes Thora did this….do they care? Fuck no!
I for one think to myself “Hey this is great, more the better”. Reason is because not everyone goes to thora. Another is because of just the way CG wants to do it THEIR way. Ignore the trolls. Constructive criticism is not talking about how another group did a show already.
That said. I hope you folks finish a bunch of the other BD 720p ghibli’s films as in my first post. You folks have done many shows that are good quality. Thus I hope this continues. Thank you =D
I have the laputa dvd
Whoa, I’m surprised of the immense quantity of educated and non-retarded comments here.
>Laputa_Castle_in_the_Sky_(1986)_[1080p,BluRay,x264]_-_THORA = 17 GiB
>[Coalgirls]_Laputa_Castle_in_the_Sky_(1920x1038_Blu-Ray_FLAC)_[973DE550] = 8.3 GiB
>Laputa_Castle_in_the_Sky_(1986)_[720p,BluRay,x264]_-_THORA = 7.9 GiB
>[Coalgirls]_Laputa_Castle_in_the_Sky_(1280x692_Blu-Ray_FLAC)_[5572DAFA] = 6 GiB
To everyone’s surprise, a CG release is actually less bloated than someone’s else, with five more audios!
can anybody that get this confirm which version of the dub is on the disk?
CG encode is smaller because it’s heavily denoised. if you love grain and all the minor details then I suggest you to get THORA version or better download the BD itself (it’s just ~30 GB)
Awesome denoise work there coalgirls
Wayyyyy better than Thora’s release that I had queued.
The best thing in this release is that the English dub is actually not FLAC, but AC3, saving a considerable amount of space. Smart choice, and I hope it will be used more often.
Thank you!
AC3 is just the source on the disc. I would’ve done FLAC if it was lossless.
^The bloat that you’re complaining about never really comes from FLAC audio.
^yes ofc, it’s from their inability to encode properly
Just to clarify my previous comment, Coalgirls didn’t choose AC3 for the dub tracks because they didn’t want to “bloat” the file size, but because these tracks are dolby digital AC3 on the BluRay itself. The Japanese track is DTS HD on the BluRay.
What I tried to say is that I find the combination of jap FLAC + eng AC3 or AAC rather appealing, when the release is dual audio. 5.1 FLAC can enlarge the filesize considerably, especially when we talk about series.
^sry but could you plz stop bitching?
this isnt just for you jancis, its for everyone posting shit like:
“*** has better/smaller/faster/[insert whatever youre whining about] subs/encode/etc”
sry i dont get you guys. if you’d make comments like hurf did, ok, because there actually an relevant info in it. but you’re just trolling so hard that even a leecher like me is annoyed.
i’m sorry if your WD-IDE-HDD has only 80gb or your dial-up-modem makes you take ages to download stuff, but if you dont like what you get here just dont take it. no one is forcing you to come here.
honestly i dont understand behaviour like that.
do you go to wall-mart leaving post-its with shitty comments on every article you dislike, too?
oh and make it a everythings-for-free wall-mart.
@CG: Thanks for doing this and keep it up plz.
ups. above comment is obviously aimed @jancis not papsi^^
Thanks so much. I’m updating my collection.
mommy? is that you?
I-i’m weawy sowy mommy,I’we b-be a good giwl I pwomise…
*cool story bro
thanks, this release is very nice compare to the vcd that i got years ago.
One thing i notice though, the cantonese track and mandarin track got the label mixed up… so, the cantonese audio is actually mandarin and the mandarin audio is the cantonese.
I thought that might be the case. I don’t speak either language and they’re both labeled as Chinese so I just took a guess as to which is which.
^Anyway we can manually rename the audio? It’s not that big a deal, but for sake of archiving I’d like to fix it.
I don’t know what’s wrong with my player
But all the other sub work fine except the 2 ENGLISH sub
I downloaded the 720 version
anyone got the same problem as me ?
How do I fix those misnamed chinese audio tracks?
What video player do you recommend, the 1080p version is not running 100% here, is fighting, but others run releases, strange, that FLAC does not like me nor I him kkk = \
@woot:
Haven’t actually downloaded this myself but, assuming it’s an mkv, you can use mkvmerge. Probably there’s an easier way, but I’m not too well versed in this -.-
@bob barker: you said it man! I’m waiting for all the ghibli films to be re-done ~ woot! shout out to the admin! 😀
Anyone know which version of the ENG dub this has?
Very nice, been looking for a good copy to add to the archive and i don’t need absolutely every little dicky detail. ie: Thoras 17GB release.
Thanks so much.
Thank You!
PLEASE SEED THIS! T^T
its going so slow…
I love this movie!! Thanks for sharing!!
