    Using Chihiro’s subtitles for S2 is a horrible idea. They had so many errors that I was able to catch a bunch of them without even looking for them. Getting simple numbers and dates wrong in E8, or example (which equates to getting those things wrong 8 times over)…

    …oh well. I felt like I had to say something to make people aware. It’s up to you guys to heed my warning or not…

    here’s a zip with all subtitles for 2nd season, notably the [Yuki] group which used a.f.k’s translation. however the guy working on it dropped it on 19th episode, did some editing to “unlocalize the subs” (whatever he means by that) and was a huge faggot in general, so beware. japanese dvds contain the english subtitles, so you might as well go with those.

    Will this release be dual audio? CD Japan lists it as having dual audio. I’m not normally a fan of dubs but the first time I watched this was the dubbed version.

    As dubs go, this one is IMO pretty good. Nothing compared to the original, but a good excuse to re-watch this show (not that you really need one with this show!)

    Also, any plans for doing the movie?

    Tenshi: When using “Affect” one has to examine the context that the verb is being used on. Its really hard in this case due to the fact both can be used with minor edits in the sentence. However in context “effect” is correct due to the fact that it is being used to negate an event on “you”. “Affect” would have been correct if the sentence was: “…this will not affect you….”.

    Coming in as someone who just watched the first season all this chronologically/anachronologically and skipping Ep stuff seems like a cluster @%#!. Anyone who knows the whole series care to clue people like me in? What order are we supposed to watch it in? Did they release it all weird with episodes that don’t make sense when watched chronologically?

    TotA is on a computer with relatively limited bandwidth. It is also the computer with Sakura. Haruhi will be done after Sakura on a different computer, but I’m not going to start it until after I’m done with Sakura, due to stress levels. TotA won’t be started on until after Sakura is seeded due to bandwidth constraints. They are both on my docket for early December.

    Yeah, effect is correctly used in the OP. I was looking at that guys post which said “this will not effect you”, which I assumed was a direct quote from the post, but apparently it wasn’t. Affect would be correct in that guy’s quote, but in the OP effect is fine. And that’s enough of that.

    Maybe at least the 2009 parts are in HD …
