    Lovely.

    Superb. simply superb

  3. Daniel writes:

How come not UTWoots dialogue and combine or Evetaku and UTWoots typesetting? And thanks!!!!!

  4. denpa writes:

I thought the agreement was that I would be credited when I uploaded the BDMV to you. And why did you use EveTaku subs instead of UTWoots?

  5. korol writes:

Isn’t it supposed to be 25 episodes?

  6. AzoLto writes:

@korol this are jsut the first 2 episodes, the rest hasn’t been released on BD yet. The series itself hasn’t even ended yet, it’s currently at episode 18, 19 in a day

  7. tormaid writes:

Don’t listen to the people whining about the subtitles.

  8. elmaton04 writes:

Why Evetaku for dialogue? Are they actually better? I’m glad it’s UTWoots for typesetting.

  9. Shane writes:

UTW is a speedsub group, so normally groups like Evetaku that focus on quality rather than speed will have better translation.

  10. castor212 writes:

Can’t you put, maybe, 2 script? Sub 1 is UTWoots and sub 2 Evetaku.

  11. Shane writes:

What is the point of that? Whats wrong with watching with the obviously superior Evetaku subs? And UTW will probably do their own BDs anyway.

  12. AzoLto writes:

Just extract UTWoots script, re-time it so it matches the BDs, mux it and viola, your UTWoots script on a BD.

  13. Alex writes:

UTWoots and Evetakus scripts are of the same quality, there’s nothing to complain about, Evetaku is just as good as UTWoot.

Is there any new content/changed scenes in the BDs or is it just a quality boost?

I support using Evetaku as the subs, UTWoots are also good but their term usage leaves a lot to be desired, if not because of Evetaku is very slow, I’d download from them instead of UTWoots too.

If you want to see for yourself, download episode 9 of both groups and compare, UTWoots even made some obvious mistranslations there where none of other groups did too.

  18. Vx writes:

    OMG Thanks <3

  19. elmaton04 writes:

Are you guys using creditless OPs and EDs again? Episode 2’s OP is creditless while the ED is not, so I don’t get it why it’s like that.

    • Cyras writes:

It’s like that because the creditless ED wasn’t included in Vol1.
I’m hoping it’s included in Vol2, and if so, you will just have to apply a patch that I might so kindly provide. If everything works like it should.

  20. boingman writes:

    @SAOfreak:
Mistranslations? Any examples? Aren’t both subs based on CR?

  21. tivia_consider writes:

will you release the batch when it”s completed?

  22. SAOfreak writes:

    @boingman
In the scene when Asuna told Kirito to take off his gloves before eating sandwich, it was translated to something different in UTWoots version, I can’t remember what now as I deleted it and switched to Evetaku version instead.

  23. Ninja writes:

I don’t know about you guys, but I love Hatsuyuki fan subs for SAO better then anyone else.

  24. Safan writes:

I was wondering what settings are required to have the typesetting display properly because I’m having problems with the Character Creation scene and xy-filter hasn’t fixed it this time.

    • Cyras writes:

Then you might have done something wrong with your setup, because XY-VSFilter is what you are recommended to use for this release too.

  25. Nanja writes:

    @boingman
Evetaku used their own translations for the entire series. UTW switched to CR kinda early on.

  26. K' writes:

I have question what is this XY-VSFilter Thing Am I supposed to use this intead of madVR or Am I supposed to uninstall the madVR and use this instead or what cause so far I have’t had any issues with the video or with the subs can some one upload a picture to compare how does the video looks like when using the VSFilter and when is in not use Please I will really appreciate that.

PD:Thx before hand to the kind soul or souls.

    • Cyras writes:

XY-VSFilter is a subtitle renderer, madVR a video renderer. So you don’t replace madVR with XY-VSFilter, but you can combine them.

  27. K' writes:

Hummm..ok well I know this is going to sound stupid but how should I install it and what I mean by that is what options should I leave check and which ones not so It doesn’t cause any conflict when rendering the subs?

  28. damedame writes:

Disable whatever you are using to render subs, and use xy-vsfilter with its default settings.

  29. 1xx7 writes:

NICE, major props for doing SAO. πŸ˜€

  30. Solaristics writes:

Blah EveTaku. Thanks anyways, might just retime UTWoots or wait for them to release BD if they do.

  31. Someone writes:

EveTaku’s subs are better, I don’t know why you are complaining Solaristics.

  32. Solaristics writes:

I prefer UTW releases and Lots of other people do also o-o

  33. K' writes:

Sorry one more question Cyras so on my MPC should I put the XY-VSFilter as a preferred external filter the reason I ask is because I’m not sure what does my Subs rendering I think is the Matroska right? cause the only things I use to play my videos are things listed on playback tutorial that is here on the playback section.
PD: oNe more time thx again for all the help xD.

  34. Luizk writes:

    Gracias! Thanks! Arigatou!

  35. Alex writes:

    @K

Yes, add DirectVobSub(Auto-loading version) to your external filters and set it to preferred.

Make sure you disable autoload subtitles in the playback section of MPC-HCs options as well

You can verify that it’s being loaded by opening a video file and either checking to see if a green arrow appears in your task tray or by right clicking the screen when a video is opened and going into filters. If it’s active it should show up there.

Why the hell is EVERYONE doing this show?

  37. sandoe41 writes:

After DL of CGs SAO and comparing to UTW, I have to agree that the EveTaku script is a little more accurate with the TL atm. Thanks to everyone at CG for the great work on the BD.

  38. K' writes:

    @ Alex
THX for clarifying that my friend I really appreciate that.

    @sandoe41
Well that’s probably because is one of the best shows that has come out in a long time it’s somehow refreshing.

  39. vask writes:

    thanks for doing this!

  40. Victor writes:

    @ Korol
Still ongoing, not just this project, but the show itself. They’ve only released up to 19 so far…

  41. rude writes:

Didn’t Sword Art Online have preview of the next episode? Or is that not available on the BD? I find it weird that after the ED credits all we see is a text title name of the next episode and no previews.

    • Cyras writes:

Both the TV and the BD version of SAO had those title screens after the ED.
However, the BD did include previews as extras. But I choose not to splice those in since they are not there originally, and because Evetaku haven’t translated them.

Those previews are not needed in my opinion, specially not when episodes aren’t released on a weekly basis.

  42. raynan writes:

cant wait for the series to be finished!!!! thnks for the post!

  43. Kohiro writes:

Using UTWoots sub is a good idea cause it’s the best sub out there for this show but I do hope when you get to the ALO arc that you would use “World Tree” instead of “Yggdrasil” like UTWoots insist cause δΈ–η•Œζ¨Ή = World Tree. Not Yggdrasil (ユグドラシル).

  44. Kayaba writes:

To those people whining about EveTaku’s subs, have you even watched their release? EveTaku’s subs are on par with the joint of UTW + GotWoot, it’s just that UTWoots is more popular than EveTaku (oh… and also because EveTaku is slow, but I don’t mind waiting a good release). Well if you still prefer UTWoots subs, then go mux them yourself or wait for days to see if Coalgirls will do a dual subs version.

Thank you for using EveTaku’s subs, Coalgirls! :)llll
