Great pick……
Thanks for picking this.
Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks for the pick!
UTW also plans to pick the series up when the BDs release, so there’s another option for subs/typesetting.
More options are always good 😉
Oh lol already announced, just great!
So far, this seems to be the most interesting and original show of the new season.
I hope the rest of the episodes live up to the first episodes promise.
Aside from the storyline, characters and various touched upon subjects, I really like the ‘decor’ too. Visually, it’s very original.
Mhmm, time to play the waiting game.
im still waiting for that other shaft show u guys are doing….
Namely, Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko. I hope you guys would get to finish that show soon.
Very pleased you’re doing this Coalgirl! I’m looking forward to your release, hopefully we don’t get that +3 webstream rubbish again, but knowing SHAFT and their budget, we’ll see heh~
Yay, I was going to dl from horriblesubs, guess I’ll wait a bit then^^
Director Akiyuki Shinbo confirmed in volume 23 of Yosensha’s Otona Anime publication on Tuesday that his Nisemonogatari television anime series will be 11 episodes long.
According to Otona anime magazine, it’s going to be 11 episodes long. SHAFT’s decisions really are one big mindfuck. Regardless, they always feel great.
>picking crfs before seeing the source
>Implying this source will be any different than Bakemonogatari
<3~! Can't wait! I was so happy when you re-did Bakemonogatari in 10-bit. Naturally I had to re-watch the series to check the quality and to refresh myself on it before Nisemonogatari started this season.
Can’t wait till the BDs are done, maybe be 9 months like it was with Bakemono because of the webisodes, but either way it will definitely be worth the wait.
Shini-subs typesets are good to, you should at-the-least consider them.
hy there,
i didnt know this anime so i decided to watch an amv on youtube and it kinda looks like bakemonogatari so i thought maybe this is the next “season” or is it just the same main char? 1 more question: is bakemonogatari a follow up from some anime?
Don’t use Commie, their subs for Nise suck. Use subs that retain the honorifics.
@triggerr
Nisemonogatari is the sequel of Bakemonogatari. Bakemonogatari is the first in the series, but it has a prequel which will be lauched in a movie, called kizumonogatari.
You can see the order here: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Monogatari_Series
It has been said that Shaft plans to keep animating the novels (probably as long as it sells well).
Nice! Can’t wait for this.
If you guys are using 10bit and such now, is it possible to, I dunno… not cut out the openings and endings? It’s hard enough for me to find out which players make ordered chapters work properly.
Just a though. Keep up the good work otherwise.
Although I haven’t checked to see if you do still cut out OPs and EDs or not, so if you don’t cut them out anymore, that’s cool. Haha.
CMS script are better then Commie, but found Shini-subs to be better then CMS from comparing them both. What are the thoughts on this?
CMS subs aren’t good, they don’t translate the big tex panels that appear once per episode just for one second or two, so I vote for Shini-subs too.
What is and isn’t translated isn’t as big of a deal. I’m going to have to get stuff translated regardless. What I care about is editing, how close they are to how I want to present it, and how well they translated what they did.
What does crf 16 mean?
Can’t Wait For You Guys To Finish Subbing This.. :)) The Bakemonogatari subs that you did were excellent in my opinion.. More power to you guys.. God bless and God speed.. :))
Go with Shini-subs, the editing in their releases was real good.
will you guys get this project up again or just plainly ignore it?
When is this coming out?
It just came out today and it is findable at ADC here is the link http://asiandvdclub.org/details.php?id=59438
Are you guys working on this at the moment, and if so when does it come out?
why is does it start with OP2 and not OP1? i dont get it
Thank you, Coalgirls!! Loved the Bakemono releases and have been waiting for a Nisemono release from you all so I didn’t have to watch a sub-par groups pitiful efforts. Now I just have to hope you’ll do the BDs for E7 Ao to make my collection complete.
Yes! Yes!!!
Thanks Coalgirls for releasing this can’t wait til there all done.
Also could you consider using Shini-subs their translations are the best out of all the groups that have done this series.
http://www.whiners.pro/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Shini-subs_Nisemonogatari_-_05_1280x720_10bit_h264_AACA67FECF7.mkv_snapshot_18.44_2012.02.12_23.04.33.jpg
But more than that, I didn’t use Shini because of their timing bleeds. I have enough bleeds to fix in Nise when it was originally timed well. I don’t need more.
However, I know nothing I say is really going to change anything. -monogatari shows traditionally are just “Who has the most fanboys.”
CMS = Crunchyroll, yes? If so, great. They aren’t *always* good (though they’ve been very good this season) but their Nise subs were phenomenal.
Kizumonogatari….
Its been so long that i completely forgot about it. I hope we get to see it this year. At least it’s been announced for 2012.
Nope, SHAFT has delayed it until 2013.
So what is the point of including the commentaries if they aren’t translated and subtitled? Just curious, it’s a shame they aren’t.
Because some people who aren’t you want them.
Thank you sooo much! I love you <3
this is just one of those things i’ve been hoping for <3
People complain about the choice of sub group, I don’t seem to notice anything wrong with them.
The line “Here we go, check it out!” that starts at 26:02 of episode 1 sounds off. Maybe “Shall we go then, check it out” or “Shall we go there, check it out!”
Engrish is Engrish, no matter how you slice it. Ask CR for official translations.
awesome, I was waiting for BDs…..
so if you consider your Bake~ release sub-par, might you be tempted to redo it? ;D
I think this release was perfection. No ordered chapters, great audio and video quality, great typesetting. Keep up the good work!
As Namiro said, this release is pretty good. One thing I think you guys could add is the translation for the title screen when it says “Nisemonogatari” / “___story”. Commie’s subs have it in theirs if you need it for reference.
Translating titles is the epitome of localization, which this is not. So no.
Is there a reason for the intense lag on episode 2 with the op subs? my video also slows down. This didn’t happen with the op is episode 1. are the subs in the 2nd op more resource intensive?
Probably the blur, vsfilter, and your computer.
Coalgirl, sry OT but kannagi Disc 1 BDMV here :

@alyu
If you have the CCCP installed, the default settings will lag on the episode 2 opening. I have an i7 and it lags for me. Open up the vsfilter configuration and go to “Misc” and change “Sub pictures to buffer” to something like 10. That will fix it for you. I’m sure you could manually upgrade vsfilter to a newer version also and fix it.
