hi i just want to ask, what does the commentary and the pv files do?

  2. HelloDuck writes:

Commentary files are just seperate audio files you can play over the episode that pretty much consists of commentary from the producers and voice actors of that episode. Though it’s kind of pointless if you don’t understand Japanese.
And the PV files are just extra video files showing the tv version previews of the next episode.

    thanks guys

  4. Fukuyasu writes:

I’ve encountered op-ed linked files trouble like some people had. Ep 13 plays fine for me but eps 14-15 has the audio and subtitle shows but no video during the op-ed files. Through some experiments, I think i’ve finally located the source of the problems. It’s most probably caused by the dxva features(h264 playback hardware supported on newer video cards).

Here’s what I do. I installed cccp beta first, but the problem persists. Then I changed cccp settings so that h264 playback is controlled by ffdshow, then i disabled the h264 dxva features in the mpc. Then i restart the mpc. After I’m sure dxva is disabled, I tried playing eps 14-15 again and they works perfectly.

Hope this helps with other people who also encountered this problem

  5. cking-sama writes:

@Fukuyasu, could you post a guide for doing this? i have the exact same problem but dont know how to disable h264 dxva features

  6. Elrondp writes:

Why was it separated like this? Op1 is not separated, as Op2 and the rest. Also, the same thing happens with some endings, like Sengoku’s. Why would you do something like that? Also, there should be two subtitles tracks -or whatever they’re named- because of the signs, in every episode and opening, just doesn’t look right; see the candles in ep1. I wish we could choose not to have them translated on screen.

  7. Fukuyasu writes:

Here’s a simple guide for disabling dxva for h264.

Check if dxva is active :
    – play a h264 video file with mpc
    – activate status bar (right click -> view-> status or Ctrl-5)
    – if dxva is active then it should show ‘Playing(DXVA)’ on the lower left of status bar.
If dxva is not active it should only show ‘Playing’.

    Deactivating dxva for mpc:
    – Go to options->Internal Filter
    – Look at the transform filter list
    – Make sure that h264/avc (dxva) is unchecked.

    Activating h264 codec on ffdshow
    – Start Menu->Programs-Combined Community Codec Pack->Filters->FFDShow Video decoder configuration
    – Look in the codecs section for h264
    – Use libav for decoder.

you have to close mpc completely for the new settings to take effect. For the ffdshow settings to take effect you may have to close all video files.

If problem persists also make sure that matroska filter is deactivated in mpc.

Some warning though if dxva is inactive, h264 playback maybe laggy if you don’t have strong processors.

Something is wrong with [Coalgirls]_Bakemonogatari_TV_PV01_(1920x1080_Blu-Ray_FLAC)_[18E3FF11].mkv in this torrent as the one I already have (that has this crc and I checked it with a crc check) does not get detected as part of the torrent so I can share it. Either the one in the torrent is a v2 that has the same crc (highly unlikely) or it didn’t get named correctly (much more likely) or there is an error in the file used in the torrent (doubtful but still possible). If its just me then I’ll just assume something is wrong with my uTorrent and that will be that but I just want to be sure I’m the only one. Thanks 🙂

  9. Vertist writes:

Erm guys Im having some problems all of the episodes mostly during OP/ED the voice kept pausing like 1sec and came back rarely but does happen on the show too.

Any helps because its quite frustrating, anyway if it is something wrong with my settings any help will be greatly appreciated so that next time I would most likely not encountered such problem.

Btw I have CCCP and play it using media player classic homecinema..

Erm…I have problem with ep 6, 7, 14, 15, in which their something’s wrong with the OP/ED. I cant view the OP/ED, but I can still see subs and hear the voice. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

  11. ender writes:

Hey guys I was wondering how you play the commentary at the same time as the video?

Am I supposed to play the video in one player and mute it while playing the commentary in another? Is there a way to join the audio commentary with the video file or something so I can watch it in MPC? Is there a way CCCP can do this?

  12. lyrelle writes:

    paul,
i want to ask somthing about ur ddl..
is the videos there like the one on the torrent
or u already combined the op ed and pv there?

  13. lyrelle writes:

    addition:
well its because i was wondering if the files in the torrent have separated the op ed pv from the main vid or if they just also add it there so you can have a separate file of the op ed and pv.

and i watched the ep from ur ddl and its all combined so..
if this and the torrent has the same file, then i wouldnt download the separate op ed pv on the torrent, but ill just seed this 1-15 after im done with it.

(yeah im really confused and i dont know if my explanation made sense)

  14. lyrelle writes:

ok nevermind my comment i got it now, if you can..
    please delete it 🙂

  15. lyrelle writes:

i saw somthing on ep 12
after the red white switching part
    it says
episode 11 (this should be episode 12 right?)
    tsubasa cat part 2

  16. lyrelle writes:

    same goes with ep 14
    it says
episode 13 (this should be episode 14)
    tsubasa cat part 4

  17. Elevated writes:

I seem to have a problem where when the OP is suppose to start the video goes back to playing at the beginning without audio any suggestions?

  18. sharm writes:

where’s the op for ep 14???

  19. sharm writes:

    nevermind, got it sorted

  20. sharm writes:

Umm, is there a way to have the commentaries and the original audio together??? I tried disabling the original audio as it said but then the commentary gets cut during the op and ed. If I mux them with the original enabled, the video doesn’t recognise the op and ed chapters….

  21. Ross writes:

for some reason, subtitles for episode 15 arent showing for me. im using kmplayer, subtitles are being shown*, and it says the subtitle loaded is *Eng. =\

could anyone help me out? thanks.

  22. Ross writes:

just to clarify, subtitles are working for every other episode on kmplayer.

  23. DiamondTear writes:

I tried watching the video+commentary using mpc homecinema’s dub function (open file). If I choose the commentary track, the video becomes choppy and desyncs from the commentary track. Tried CoreAVC and ffdshow.

Is there a good way to listen to the commentary tracks without playing them separately in an audio player?

  24. Cory writes:

Having the same problem as Ross only on episode 14. I’m using MPlayer OSX Extended and all the other episodes subtitles work just fine.

  25. shelly writes:

    Thanks for the batch 🙂

The subs overlapping the original text in the video occurs due to the subs from 1080 being slappped onto 720 video. I may continue doing the rest or I might just download the 1080 to save myself time.
Anyway, download and remux yourself if the subs bothers you enough

  27. yad writes:

Unfortuently this release is a kludge. You shouldn’t use ordered chapters this way – this is wasting your time, and what’s more important, my time ;-).
This feature is too buggy especially if the encoded file is buggy (op5b), too.

    nice release! 🙂

  30. Milky writes:

Hmmm, I’ve been debating whether or not to watch Bakemonogatari. There’s A LOT of people who love this show, so I’m kind of worried that it will be overrated.

But the 1080p has convinced me. Downloading now…

how many bd discs does this anime have
    thanks 🙂

  32. goatse writes:

excuse me but is there no BD OP cut from 2nd episode which featuring senjougahara hitagi singing staple stable ?

oh and please tell me what is the different between OP4a and OP4b ?

  35. dane writes:

    Hi guys,

Anyone experienced any lag in the 1080p videos? I.e. the transition from OP chapter to episode chapter, the audio and graphics do not sync. This issue was easily resolved if i were to jump to the episode chapter.

I am using CCCP package to play all my videos. I was just wondering whether it was some compatibility issues i.e. the encodes were done to be compatible with other media players in mind and not CCCP e.g. KMplayer.

    Thanks in advance!

  36. ychao writes:

Anyone noticed some missing subs in the (1080p) episodes? E.g. I’ve just finished episode 3 and there appears to be some missing during (or rather, just before) the fight between Araragi and Mayoi? There were some missing subs in ep 2 as well but I can’t seem to remember which bit already – but I think it’s part of a conversation between Araragi and Oshino.

The rest of the of the subs are great (till ep 3 as I’ve just finished watching it) – is this intentional or is there a problem with my setup? I’ve watched other 1080p series from you with the same setup (media player classic or wmp) and this is a first that this sort of thing happened.

  37. ychao writes:

^^ Ah… never mind the above, somehow the problem ceased to exist after a restart.
    Thx for reading anyway!

  38. Layfon writes:

can’t seem to make the subtitles appear on episode 15, i’ve tried updating my codes and using other players, nothing’s working for me, help!!!

  39. Layfon writes:

finally got episode 15 to work!!!! but shouldn’t the line be “I wouldn’t misunderstand mistress” instead of ” I wouldn’t understand mistress”?

  40. Index writes:

i just wanna say thanks for doing this…… i grabbed it from bakabt….and really awesome….

it’s really worth to download 1080p….. my effort for downloading 20 GB bandwidth paid off 😀

  41. Anonymous writes:

Is it just me, or have the audio commentaries all had the OP and ED discussions cut out of them simply because of the ordered chapters?
    Makes me cry.

  42. Liger writes:

Thanks for subbing Bakemonogatari in blu-ray. Sorry for being really late, but I just wanted to mention that in OP4a and OP4b the karaoke lyrics are slightly off.

According to the official lyrics that come with the CD:
At 00:03 it should be “Mou sonnan ja hora”, not “Mou sonna ja hora”
At 00:40 it should be “shi nuki de iya shinu ki de”, not “shii nuki de iya shinu ki de”
At 00:52 it should be “Fuwafuwaru fuwafuwari anata ga waratte”, not “Fuwafuwaru fuwafuwari anata ga watte”
At 01:15, again, it should be “Mou sonnan ja hora”
At 01:24, similarly, it should be “Nee sonnan ja mada”

In terms of phrasing for the Japanese lyrics, I think that
At 00:25 “Kotoba ni sureba kiechau kankei” should have “nara” attached to the end, instead of it being at the beginning of the next line.
At 00:43 “Fuwafuwari fuwafuwaru” should be split from the rest of the line, with the rest added to the next line.
At 00:50 the same should be applied with “Fuwafuwaru fuwafuwari”. This one especially, because the way it is currently phrased, “waratte” and “iru” are separated when they shouldn’t since it’s one word (sort of).
These suggestions are derived from the official lyrics.

From 00:25 to 00:29 the English reads:
If the relationship will disappear when we put
we put it into words, we should just do away

I think it was supposed to be:
If the relationship will disappear when we put it into words,
we should just do away with words.

  43. Liger writes:

I don’t think anyone has mentioned it before, but in episode 9 there’s a weird playback issue at about 25:26. When watching the ED, after it finishes playing the last few seconds of the ED will play again, but sped up. I asked a friend of mine to try watching as well, and the same issue occurred with him. For reference, I’m using the latest build of CCCP with CoreAVC 2.5.5. Sorry, again, for being late on this, but I hope that someone might be able to get back to me on this. Thanks.

  44. Sammy writes:

It’s a shame that both your and Thora’s OPs/EDs for this show look like ass. They’re some of my favorites and I’d kill to have them super sharp.

  45. Forum Lurker writes:

Doesn’t seem like anyone’s responding to comments, but I’m having the same problem with the OP and Episode not syncing properly. It lags terribly and I lose most of the audio. It’s impossible for this to be my computer’s issue. Specs:
-AMD Phenom II X4 655 Black Edition
    -GSkill 4GB RAM 2×2
    -XFX Radeon HD 6790 GPU
    -Gigabyte 870-USB3 Motherboard
I’m running the latest CCCP too so I have no clue what the problem is. I’m playing with VLC Media Player.

  46. Forum Lurker writes:

Well, I guess I’m the biggest idiot in the end. =\
Works perfectly fine with Windows Media Player Classic. DERP.

    Well, thanks for the release!

  47. Manthai writes:

I loved the original release you guys did but I do remember seeing a few grammatical mistakes etc. Nothing to demand a V2 but enough that it’s odd for it not to be fixed in a V2. Still, I’m happy to grab this show again with the enhancements you have added, thanks!

It would be great to see some comparisons between your two releases.
