They do this because you wouldn’t otherwise get to see, for example, a subbed Blu-Ray edition of Kaichou wa Maid-Sama, which has reanimated scenes and more quality than the TV broadcast. If you don’t like HD anime, then go use one of those shady “Watch Bleach Online.com” streaming sites and take your “brilliant wit” elsewhere.

    Adding grain to older films when restoring/re-mastering them is pretty standard business. I wasn’t complaining about the size or the grain, merely stating it has an absurd amount of heavy grain because somebody asked why it was so big encoded. I don’t care for size myself and the grain I think personally looks fine on Nausicaa. I actually liked it.

    With V2 of episode 2 the subtitles are disabled for default but when I switch them on, the video turns with a lot of pixels like the first version released. Someone else with the same problem?

    For everybody wondering or questioning coalgirls the Blu-ray is blurry, I downloaded it and there is no quality gain at all from viewing the 1080p or the 720p from Coalgirls. Actually the coalgirls looks better since it’s filtered (though it could still look even better)
