    From what I’ve seen most people prefer rori script. And it’s slightly better than Aho-Taku.

    I am glad you guys chose ahotaku… Btw, aho-taku’s typsets were awesome and better than rori. Rori missed (couldn’t?) typset a rotating ling in Ep 16, 00:10

  10. Nemu_khao writes:

    Please keep rori subs too… Many would prefer to keep rori.

  11. Alfredonm writes:

    i can kiss you right now, thank you so much i love this show.

  12. DmonHiro writes:

    Uhm, here’s a quick question. If people say that rori is better then Aho-Taku, what exactly are they basing this on?

  13. HerpMcGee writes:

    Cool, nice choice.

    Subs: If you don’t like em, go rip someone elses, time them and mux them in.

    At least the only active person doing BD releases picked this up. It actually has a chance at being completed 🙂

    You are the best!!! very nice!!!

    Cool man, wanted this to be released some time soon!

  16. Rem writes:

    There are official subs and you decided to go for fansubs? That’s Tenshi for you.

      We will not: … Use R1 (Retail) subs when there is a good fansub.

      Fansubs are prioritized in usage here. If you’re looking for “official” stiff subs put onto a BD, you’re downloading from the wrong group.

    gotta mux rorisubs into this batch i guess.

  22. Homura Dawg writes:

    Thanks for your activity these past couple days. It’s a relief to hear you’re dropping Eureka to be honest, it’s like a mediocre fan fiction.

  23. Fyurie writes:

    Sugoi are doing these too, and mixing elements. CGi aren’t the only ones on this project. 😉

  24. Patsuan writes:

    I’ve been following aho-taku rather than rori releases throughout the series so I’m happy with your choice.
    I’d be glad if someone can help me, though. On the OP and ED the romaji karaoke which i suppose should be moving or changing or something is static and each line is like divided in half with half of it faded. Which, I guess, is the effect you went for in the karaoke.
    I’ve got the latest (I think) full version of the k-lite codec pack, so I’m guessing it’s a problem with the configuration of the subs-filters or something. If some one can help with that, I’d really appreciate it.

  26. boingman writes:

    @DmonHiro: Good question. I was wondering the same.
    Maybe rori is just more popular and ppl assume that they’re better?

  27. Fyurie writes:

    @boingman

    Aho-Taku’s TS, for >90% of the signage, is miles better, but rori’s script flows a lot better in most places.

    Neither are bad releases, they both have their strong points, which is why Sugoi’s release will include elements of both.

  28. ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

    I will not be changing subs or including 2nd sub track. Aho-Taku was chosen for:
    A) Typesetting, far better.
    B) Subtle nuances, such as Nanami’s transition to Kansi dialect.
    C) Elegance, I find Aho-Taku’s use of English better.

  29. banger writes:

    rori was full of mistranslation in the half dozen or so episodes i watched. i went with horriblesubs which (i think) is the best in most shows they rip. i think aho taku is definitely better than rori tho

  30. HeavenlyArmed writes:

    @Rem:
    Oh, you.

    @Dmon:
    Some of us have actually bothered to compare the scripts ourselves, and through this found that rori’s subs provided a more enjoyable experience more often than Aho-taku’s, through elements such as more smoothly flowing dialog. Of course, as numerous people have stated above, both releases have their strong points, such as the typesetting in Aho-taku’s release and their handling of the Kansai dialect, so the mixture Sugoi’s release is going to have sounds like it’ll make for the best release overall.

    @Tenshi:
    Isn’t it against Coalgirls policy to encode a JC STAFF show in 1080p?

  31. SFGH01 writes:

    Good old coalgirls never fails to give me a good laugh. I still believe some day you’ll learn how to do a decent encode though 🙂

  32. Solaristics writes:

    For people saying Rori script is better than Aho-Taku. Not necessarily true because both groups have strong points when doing it, like some people have already stated above. Dark_Sage reviewed both of them, and they both had the same grade. I still prefer Rori though.

  33. bluesam20 writes:

    Good God………. I have to say when I have had a long day at work, I go online and read all the “bitch” comments and I feel instantly refreshed. Some of you guys are grade A morons, for the one hundred millionth time, if you don’t like it don’t download it. If you prefer some other groups subs, mux them yourself! Remember that none of you are entitled to anything, Tenshi has stated many times that He/She encodes the way He/She likes to watch anime. When 10bit encoding became the norm, Tenshi still encoded 1920X1080p at CRF13, His/Her reason bitrate overkill. So quit your whining or do us all a favor and never visit CG’s website again. I assure you that either way you won’t be missed.

  34. Anoki writes:

    If BD raw sources started popping up for Eureka Seven AO, is there a possibility it could return to a not dropped project?

  35. SFGH01 writes:

    @bluesam20
    Cute, but I wasn’t talking about the crf13 retardedness.

  36. Nico writes:

    Rem: What official subs?

  37. Nico writes:

    Either way, got the first BD volume in the mail today and I was praying that CG would do the BD’s, so thanks a lot!

  38. boingman writes:

    Sounds like Aho is doing a more literal translation, which I personally prefer, while rori is going the gg/Commie way?

  39. Johnny5 writes:

    Thank you. Thank you. 😀

    Oh you Tenshi.

    As for the script, It all comes down to personal preference, I downloaded the first couple of episodes from both Rori and Aho-Taku and preferred Roris script as it seemed to flow better for me. I know people who have chosen Aho-taku though, quit bitching about shit,

  41. Cloud writes:

    Are all the 1080p releases on this site from blu ray ?

  42. Mr. Aoyama writes:

    Subtle differences between them (rori) and Aho from the script such as as mentioned by Tenshi above goes along way in quality fansub. Like say a person from the U.S. south changes dialect when in panic (such as Nanami does) and write that in proper English?

    Unless you prefer liberal, bland, and devoid of character (and honorifics) like Commie scripts, subtle differences like that brings a more pleasant experience when enjoying a show among other things (Nanami & Misaki).

  43. HeavenlyArmed writes:

    @Mr. Aoyama
    Liberal, bland and devoid of character? Do those things go together at all? You started out sounding like you had a decent point, then you said that, and even went as far as to say Commie doesn’t do characterization. Commie is one of the better groups overall when it comes to characterization, for starters. Also, liberal and bland don’t go together at all, and I have no idea why you would possibly think they do. On the topic of this specific show, it’s not like rori didn’t do any characterization at all. They just didn’t do quite as well as Aho-taku in the cases of a few specific quirks.

    Gosh, please realese Hunter x Hunter 2011.

  49. Zalis writes:

    If I were downloading this release, I would definitely approve of the use of Aho-Taku’s subs. They flow well, they’re creative enough to avoid repetition in stock dialogue lines, they capture key character traits, and they retain sufficient Japanese “flavoring” while translating most things that can be translated. Afaik all groups undertranslated “Sakurasou,” so there’s no difference there. What the heck is wrong with “Sakura Hall”, anyway?
