    Thanks. Looks like I’ll have to disable subs during the OP again.

    crf 13 at 1080p? This is Madness…err, no, this is Coalgirls 😛 Really, can you see difference between crf 13 and crf 16? Show me some comparison screenshots 😀

  5. lpdq writes:

    Genuine question (I’m curious!): Why include the OP/ED hindered by credits at all? Wouldn’t skipping them altogether, and linking to the creditless ones (via ordered chapters) make more sense?

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

      Ordered chapters should die, they are absolutely terrible for compatibility. As for using NCOP/ED in the actual eps, I like to present eps as they were when I watched them.

  6. MDH writes:

    Good stuff, thank you!

  7. Mutsakman1 writes:

    As long as you have 3rd party hi10p codecs (LAV Filter) installed, you should be able to run the 1080p OP/ED easy with any dual core CPU as well. It runs easily on my Quad Core @ 2.66ghz.

    Thanks Tenshi! Looking forward to future releases of this! 🙂

    @bejita7

    It’s Tenshi, besides him no one at CGi uses so retarded crf (look at his Gosick release – 2gb/25min ep, same size had Katanagatari from Coalgirl but eps there were 1h long…)

    @lpdq

    It’s Tenshi…, since some time ago he didn’t want to use normal chapters in mkv, and you’re talking about ordered chapters.

  9. Alfredonm writes:

    It works perfect on a Q6600, @2.4Ghz, no lags no drops on FPS. Btw i use an Nvidia gaming card (9800GTX+) that Uses DXVA on MHC.

  10. derpltonbanks writes:

    Last I heard, any kind of GPU acceleration doesn’t work with 10-Bit. DXVA, CUDA, etc.

    Thanks for the release Tenshi.

    Question: Are Mazui’s subs the best ones for this series? I remember there was quite a fuss about translations when it was just starting.

    “Ordered chapters should die, they are absolutely terrible for compatibility”

    10-bit h264 is even worse for compability than ordered chapters. It plays on PC only…so, 10-bit should also die? :]

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

      Well with 10bit there’s at least quality gains. With OCs its just a nightmare.

  17. Petrushka writes:

    @bejita7…Why don’t u also GTFO? OC should die.

    Hell, even my friend just uncertain about cgi Hyouka, but after checked it was Tenshi, “Ok, download.”
    So thanks, bro.

  18. elmaton04 writes:

    Good, I’m glad it works well on a Q6600 which I also have.

    @Tenshi, I’m glad it’s not ordered chapters and not clean credits. That should just died.

  19. Zerso writes:

    Ordered Chapters, please.
    They might pose compatibility issues if the user wants to watch the OP/ED every time, but, that rare case aside, they are far better for any other use (which is basically watching the damn anime without wasting time and space with OP/ED).

  20. Tatsujin writes:

    @ elmaton04 – since the latest releases of CCCP, I don’t have any problems with 8-bit or 10-bit playback. This is barely close to heavy demanding for my Q6600 and Q9500 Intel Core 2 Quads. Also, they’re 2.4Ghz and 2.8Ghz based (non-clocked) respectively so you don’t need a 3.4Ghz to run this at all. First generation Core 2 Quad Q6600 will do the job just fine.

  21. elmaton04 writes:

    @Tatsujin, I wasn’t really worry to begin with and these are not the most demanding 10-bit releases out there. As long as you have a decent graphics card and a dual core processor minimum, 10-bit playback shouldn’t be a problem.

  22. dreamer2908 writes:

    My core 2 duo 2.2ghz toaster can play 1080p OP.

    Mazui is the best subs. sigh about 1080p size. forced to dl 720p now. thanks for the BD archive

  24. nand writes:

    CPU usage during the OP maxes out at 22.5% (spread out over four cores) for me, my Q9550 is at exactly 3.4 GHz.

  25. Pryrates writes:

    Runs w/o any problems on a i3-2330M using mplayer2 on linux.

  26. Kado writes:

    @bejita7

    MX Player for Android supports 10bit playback as well.

    It’s obvious that I won’t be seeing 1080p video on a phone as it makes no sense and the CPU will not handle it anyway (MotoDefy ICS 4.0.4), it barely handles 720p @ 1.2ghz.

  27. Rai writes:

    @bejita7

    Technically gg has the best subs for this show (8thsin ftw), however due to some…Diablo III difficulties, it was dropped by them.

  28. Adam Williamson writes:

    I guess I’m a tad late, but I would’ve been demand for 8-bit :/ I use an HTPC running XBMC, and there’s no stable build with hi10 support yet. I don’t really want to run unstable bleeding edge stuff on my HTPC, the point of an HTPC is to sit there and work reliably. Ah well :/ Onto the next group…

    Also, maybe change the decoder in CCCP from ffdshow to LAV.

  35. pepperoni writes:

    Thanks Tenshi!
    Reasonable size for 720p and glad to read you find ordered chapters not good please do both from now on. If only Coalgirls can do the same.

  36. Dave writes:

    Too bad there isn’t an 8-bit version. I don’t get the point of every group doing 10-bit. There’s still a lot of people that need the 8-bit encode. Would be nice if at least one group offered an 8-bit video.

  37. rude writes:

    @Dave
    A sob comments? Re-encode it yourself.
    If it’s just your PC upgrade it or get left behind.

    “Coalgirls – We will do what we want, and do not care about your opinion.”

  38. Sess writes:

    I have no problems with Hi10P.. well, it brings nothing but unneccessary CPU demands and not the slightest improvement in image quality if you use a 8bit source (I’am a pro, blieve it or not) and I re-encode every release back to 8-bit to run it with my hardware player, but aside that it is really cewl.

    You don’t need a quad-core to run the 1080p OP Tenshi. Core i3+ is sufficient enough with the right CCCP set up.
