Notice: Due to the recent BakaBT offer for the Eureka Seven Movie and the comments on audio discrepancy I re-examined the audio encode.   It seems the BDMV raw that I used has a missing audio channel in the Japanese track. I have have place an order for the Blu-Ray disk of the movie and will do a re-rip of the Japanese audio. Apologies for not catching it earlier. The torrents will be corrected and the corrected audio track will be available for direct download.

It seems like the North American version of the E7 movie is just pure fail, in terms of the Japanese audio track. Its actually missing said channel on the original disk. 🙁 Audio is actually only 16bit, sorry for that mistake.  Mediainfo reads the converted flac file as 24bit for some reason. Not much more I can do about it.

    seems like you just updated the post

  5. Anon writes:

    What’s the profit of ripping these BDs when the re-issue will come out in June-July?

  6. Lemon writes:

    Tell me more about this re-issue please. I see they are releasing it in 10 volumes. Why the re-release?

  7. unellmay writes:

    Get back to mai qwaser and baka to test plz!

  8. anon writes:

    So the BD has both Jap and Eng Audio!!!
    Awesome but is there really any improvements in quality in this?

  9. z3nki writes:

    the box set was around ¥ 65,000 [$700] so I don’t think there’s going to be any improvement in the quality, but who knows, that’s something we will have to wait and see. and also, it’s easier to buy them by volume than by the whole box set, that might be a reason, but that’s just what I think.

  10. Meatrose writes:

    This is one great show, thanks for doing it.

  11. wlfy writes:

    the re-issue is probably just a reselling of the series in blu-ray considering that the box sets are limited editions and are now out of stock. don’t think there are any quality difference…
    question, will the commentary audio be included for the eps that have them?

  12. vaggelis13 writes:

    thank you very much. i love you <3 <3. this is one of my favourite anime

  13. hohum writes:

    The question is: will the encoder fix the horrible chroma shift in random scenes? :/ It’s tedious but certainly doable…

    BONES sure fucked up on this show.

  14. John writes:

    Since you’re re-encoding old animes with flac sound, there isn’t the remote probability of re-encode Toki Wo Kakeru Shoujo? AC3 audio really sucks.

  15. unellmay writes:

    @hohum

    What the hell are you talking about?

  16. anon writes:

    So is this based on the Re-issued Single BD or the Boxsets..that went out of stock last year?
    Is there any difference??

  17. wlfy writes:

    probably boxsets. re-issued singles not out yet.
    dunno bout differences though…

  18. Lemon writes:

    @John did you not get niizk’s rel with flac audio?

  19. philip writes:

    why not encode the 1440×1080 BD verson as well? Or is that just an absurd upscale?

  20. anon-chan writes:

    anon, the English track was removed from the DVDs that G_P had, hence it’s not FLAC.
    hohum, any pictures of what you’re talking about?
    philip, it’s not worth it, it’s an upscale.

  21. John writes:

    @Lemon
    Damn, I can’t play 1080p lol

  22. Lemon writes:

    sorry John 😛

    I wish the commentary track along (with its subs) was also added from the G_P release. I can do it myself though 😉 I also wish it had chapters, but that doesn’t really matter either. I am just really happy coalgirls is doing this, even if it’s an upscale <3.

    Thank you so much!

  23. hohum writes:

    @unellmay: examples from DVD (I checked and it’s the same on BD as far as I could tell)

    BONES fail: http://i50.tinypic.com/29mm13r.png
    Attempt to fix: http://i48.tinypic.com/fdhto5.png

    If the encoder doesn’t want to fix the BONES failures (like that and for example the hilarious double mouths and noses) then it’s pretty pointless to bother with this show considering it’s an upscale.

  24. hohum writes:

    Where did my comment with pics go? -_-

    You pasted 2 links. Our website auto-pends it.

  25. hohum writes:

    Oh yea, I forgot to say that I’m not sure if this problem appeared in the first 10 episodes (memory failures), but it definitely was there from #11 onwards.

  26. Drl writes:

    there are some encoding errors i episode 2 (4-5 min.)

  27. Lemon writes:

    I see the errors too. So is there going to be a v2?

  28. sbu writes:

    So…any updates? Is it dropped? Stalled? Forgotten? or just taking a long time between releases?

  29. eehureum writes:

    is it just me or was this series not good enough to be worth worrying about minor visual details. the scarred fungus butterfly has two mouths instead of one?!?!… gross.

  30. Gar writes:

    Wow 07-31!

  31. NemesiS writes:

    please someone who have 1-6 pack, seed because we are all stuck at 0%, no seeder to 1-6 🙁

  32. Lemon writes:

    What about the errors in ep 2(4-5 min)? I hope there is going to be a v2.

  33. NemesiS writes:

    can you seed that pack Lemon?
    please…there are a lot of leechers and no seed 🙁

  34. LMN writes:

    Holy shit that’s a big update. Awesome work.

  35. hohum writes:

    Not worth the effot/bandwith/space/etc. None of the BONES failures got fixed. Not to mention it doesn’t look any better than DVD.

  36. ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

    Yes there will be a v2 for ep2 apologies for the encoding errors. The updated v2 has already been encoded and will be in the final batch.

    I will reseed eps 1-6 again.

    great work Coalgirls

    @anyone
    do you have Direct Link ? I can’t download these via torrent in my workplace

  39. Shawn writes:

    Can someone put up comparison between this and ozc-anime versions?

  40. hww writes:

    Ignore hohums comments since hes probably downloaded rmvbs cause hes a failure ,buy the dvds and dont download the blurays if you dont like them and eehureum is a retard with no taste in anime so he can STFU

  41. Slasha writes:

    @Shawn
    Don’t even bother to compare with OZC’s release. It looks horrible even the 1080p version. lol, their 1080p filesize is smaller than coalgirls’ 720p.

  42. baka writes:

    yeah, i would also like to see a screenshot comparison between this and ozc’s.

    @slasha
    bigger file size doesn’t always mean better quality. >_<

  43. hohum writes:

    @hww: BONES failed on the DVDs and BDs for this show and if you can’t see that, well… pity.

    And there’s no need for the comparision between OZC and CoalGirls, cause neither did a thing to make this shit watchable.

  44. Slasha writes:

    @hohum Stop trolling and GTFO
    @baka I made a few comparison screenshots
    http://comparescreenshots.slicx.com/comparison/71707/picture:0
    they show that OZC’s release lack some detail due to heavy filtering. But you have to see them both in motion to see the real differenz.

  45. Lemon writes:

    IIRC OZC’s 720p is encoded from their 1080p version. So it will obviously not be better than this 😛

  46. LMN writes:

    Are there any other V2s beside for episode 2?

  47. ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

    Ep2 is the only v2 that’s in the batch.

  48. zaockle writes:

    movies were bad, just sayin’

  49. NemesiS writes:

    thanks for movies.
    later throw out some info about it like languages, subs and so…

  50. mikedude writes:

    What subs are used for the movie?

    I have an old 720p copy of the movie from Nanashi fansubs. I can’t help but notice how grainy the whole damn movie is. Was this intentional for the movie, or just bad encoding? Can anybody who’s seen both versions comment on how much improved/if any the Coalgirls version is?
