      FYI: Mawaru Penguindrum, Persona 4 the Animation and Mirai Nikki were all released after I dropped S;G. Persona 4 and Mirai Nikki were both planned projects long before I decided to drop S;G.

      So this is not a replacement as you are trying to imply.

    I have no idea when Funimation is going to release Steins;Gate but I know it won’t be soon. I do think it will come on BluRay since they were able to do that with Chaos;Head, but I always have to wonder if it’s the “real” BluRay considering some things they’ve done previously.

    Few first Mirai Nikki eps of GotWoot was translated by 8thSin, the only fansubber that is good enough to review other’s fansub releases. After that, GotWoot’s quality doesn’t drop anything.
    If you know some japanese you will see their translation is very close to original dialogs while maintaining smooth english. Though I’m not a native, I was amazed after just few minutes watching GotWoot.
    Both Static Subs & GotWoot are very good. Static Subs is just a bit slower than GotWoot.

    @Shandris: No. GotSpeed is just a name for early releases from GotWoot.

    I recently tried to encode some BDMVs and for some reason the size of one episode is really huge, even though the x264 settings were the same as let’s say your Steins;Gate x264 settings.

    Then I stumbled across the term debanding. What does it really mean and will this reduce the output size of my encoded video? Which filters did you use in your avisynth script?

    If possible at all, could you mail me the avisynth script for S;G, as I will try to continue the series after getting the hang of encoding.
