    yea handbrake is nice
    im using CLI version here and there (when you lear commands its easy and faster)
    but you will need some other software like mkvtoolnix,eac3to,tsmuxer and aegisub

  2. Tri_Edge writes:

    I just got started with handbrake it’s already encoding for me.
    It’s true working with the CLI is faster but make a mistake and….well I don’t know i haven’t gotten
    that far yet.
    I hate working with CLI tools.

    Yeah I was planning on a ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME for my 2600k person build. I think that should be fine, and for the severs I think ill stick with AMD like you said.

  4. bikar writes:

    @Tri_Edge
    well you will end up on CLI sooner or later 🙂

    this should help

  6. bikar writes:

    vol 2 is out so they have to wait for share or someone else to upload
    vol 3 will be out on April 27

    @bikar
    Since you gave me that guide,i might as well say that i’m using it to encode milky holmes in 1080p since no group i know is doing it in 1080 but 720p only for whatever reason.

  8. bikar writes:

    well good luck then

    I use handbrake for all my personal encodes. The GUI is fine as there is the advanced tab for all the extra crap you might want to play around with. I did some reading to better understand what each one does (the program does give a brief description if you hover over it). After playing around with settings, I found a group I liked and saved it as a preset. Makes it easy for subsequent encodes.

    I watch everything on my TV via a cheapo HTPC running XBMC and I’m not a videophile…so things look fine. I usually try to keep around 1gb per file for 1080p.

    Don’t know about you but the gamma in the episodes is way too high. Can’t you lower it a bit?

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

      That’s how is was in TV airing and original BD. If you think its too high you can apply a post processing filter in your media player.

  16. G-Man writes:

    @Tenshi
    Ok, thanks 🙂 I think I found a suitable shader in MPC-HC, it’s 0-255 -> 16-255 if anyone is interested, although it dulls the contrast a bit.
    Have a nice day!

    Just got a [matroska @ 0x8e3caa0]Read error at pos. 320187 (0x4e2bb) error here using mplayer when running ep02 720p.

    • ♦Tenshi♦ writes:

      Your going to have to give us a time index on the video where that is happening. I believe those # are memory locations.

  18. dragon132004 writes:

    Thanks a lot for the hard work on this project.

  19. abit writes:

    If you didn’t know already, the IS releases got delayed for a month.

  20. PB Curious writes:

    Thanks for Eps 7+8.

    I don’t mind the delays. I appreciate all the hard work!

    Thanks again!

    P.S. Um .. At the certitude of revealing my newbieness, what does IS stand for?

  21. DarkChaplain writes:

    Thanks, CGi, another step closer to finishing this show =)

    @Tenshi
    Can you refer me a guide on setting up PD, cause so far, i got nothing on it.

  23. dragon132004 writes:

    waiting for S.J.’s DDL for 1080p 🙂

  25. Tri_Edge writes:

    Thanks “Tenshi”
    Too bad it doesn’t work behind my neighbor connection,and mine it’s not good enough.
    I’ll have to upgrade my connection if i want to use PD.
    Thanks though.

  26. PB Curious writes:

    @♦Tenshi♦ — Thanks for the clarification. As I read the post, it never occurred to me that ‘IS’ could be referencing a different anime series. {doh!}

  27. hobo writes:

    Some of the dialog seems worse than commie’s version in episode 7. What’s with the changes?

  28. TK writes:

    so when will the next bluray being released?

  29. Jordi writes:

    I think the first line is “motto kou ou nami ga”, which means something along the lines of “there should be a bigger wave springing up”.

    The second sounds like “watashi wa mizu wo jizai ni”, which would translate as “I can control water at will–“. She doesn’t actually say the “control” part, because the order of the words is different and she’s cut off by Eriko.

  30. dslite4000 writes:

    I have to agree with Jordi. I’m not fluent in Japanese, but when I watch these clips, his translation seems to fit the context. Of course, I only speak English, so I could be wrong.

  31. nuc001 writes:

    Jordi sounds about right. I haven’t watched Dragon Crisis at all so I don’t know what’s going on. The Japanese sounds right though. I couldn’t quite hear the “mizu” part that clearly, but is she a water dragon? If so then it seems fine to me. I speak Japanese as well so they sound about right.

  32. Noko writes:

    @Jordi “motto kou ou nami ga” is correct. “There should be a bigger wave springing up’ can work. As well as “There should be a bigger wave showing up” for better English flow. Keep in mind I’m playing with words here and Jordi gave you one that sounds closer to what she actually said in Japanese. Purely a matter of preference.

    Once again “watashi wa mizu wo jizai ni” is correct. However she does get cut off like you said and does not finish the sentence. “So I can control water at will–” is the closest that can be done. Maybe cut off one L in so it shows the sentence being cut off like “wil–” or something.

    Jordi did all the work so not much I can do other than check it.

    Glad a non retard took take a crack at these.

  33. Senna writes:

    Scenes were edited due to the tsunami… =/

  34. Fimbulvetr writes:

    Both lines are very clear and easy to understand.
    “Watashi wa mizu wo jizai ni … are?” – “I can control water … huh?” As already mentioned, she doesn’t finish the sentence, but it’s very clear what the rest would have been.
    “Motto kou … ounami ga …” Whatever she summoned, it didn’t turn out as expented, she was expecting something that resembles a “大波 【おおなみ】 (n) billow; surge” more. “It should have been more like a big wave …” (or “billow” but that might not be standard vocabulary for everyone, and fansubs should be kept simple)
