    nice, but why only 720p?

  2. Peorth writes:

Thanks for picking this up, will look forward to it.

  3. J.m. Kerkdijk writes:

Looking forward to it, but .. sadly no madoka.

  4. puma99dk| writes:

sry CG i missed that, bcs of my back and tail-bone pain >.<

but still it will be nice to have this in a good Quality Blu-Ray rls from CG 😀

  5. banger writes:

i woulda thought madoka would be right up your alley…but this show might be worth checking out too…didn’t watch the broadcast so far.

  6. FREAK writes:

Oh JCstaff… Nonetheless, looking forward to it. Pretty much my favorite show of the season right here.

  7. bikar writes:

nyaa should be like bakabt (light version 😀 at least for rules)
registration required for download and with ratio and hit & run tracking

Everything would be better than expected

  8. bikar writes:

sry wrong page (that should be for knk)

  9. Zakuro writes:

Awesome, can’t wait to get my Merry Nightmare fix in BD quality ^^

  10. bautrey writes:

Good choice!!! I’m literally obsessed with it right now.

  11. Iron Sand-G writes:

I kinda hoped you’d be interested in Freezing but I guess there’s not enough comedy in it unlike in Kampfer XD

    • coalgirl writes:

I’m not really a fan of that genre. I was just interested in Kampfer because I was interested in the concept. Speaking of Kampfer, I’m definitely going to do the 2 episode series when it’s out on BD.

  12. Ghostalker writes:

I hope you also do Madoka, the visuals are already impressive on TV, I can only imagine how I will be even more impress by the BD version

  13. Suzuku writes:

    >Ayako when gg

    lol

  14. DarkChaplain writes:

    Please, not Ayako.
Interrobang might be new, but they really are improving from episode to episode and even deliver a localized and unlocalized sub track.

On a sidenote, I’d like to see Gosick and Level E.
Chances are high that UTW will do their own Gosick BDs, but Level E has not a single decent real subgroup, so chances of getting BD versions of that anime in a timely manner are really slim…

  15. jorma writes:

thanks for picking this up, definitely one of the best with Gosick this season

  16. tormaid writes:

UTW will use the Crunchyroll script that have been using for the TV releases of Gosick. It would be nice to see SS subs though. Not that Crunchyroll did a bad job with it, but I generally like fansubs better. I haven’t watched any of Yumekui Merry, but I suppose I’ll wait for the BDs and give it a try.

  17. kindergraph writes:

there really isn’t anything wrong with gg’s subs (besides “vagina bones”, but that’s one line). there are a few grammatical oopsies but ayako’s are much, much worse.

of course if you’re going to edit them anyway, it really doesn’t make a difference. just my two cents.

  18. banger writes:

nah ayako is definitely the best choice for subs on this one, granted its ayako so there will be mistakes but still much better than the alternative groups. plus it says heavily modified so maybe it will be improved

  19. oldingt writes:

Ooooh! I am very happy! =)
Another would be to BD “Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika” and “Freezing” (Down with censorship!) and especially “Hourou Musuko”. =)

  20. Hedd writes:

as long as Baku is baku and not an aardvark, I think I found that small bit translation infinitely annoying for some odd reason.

  21. J3N0V4 writes:

Would it be too much to ask for a troll sub track as well on the beach episode, Vagina Bones and all accounted for

  22. banger writes:

    yes it would

  23. Eba writes:

what do you mean when you say that you wont do 1080p because its by loljcstaff? O_O??

    • coalgirl writes:

JC Staff BDs, with the exception of Milky Holmes, always look terrible. They can do at 720p, but above that is a joke. If you read our FAQ, we refuse to do 1080p if:
      a. The source is interlaced (Exception – White Album)
      b. The source is JC Staff (Exception – To Aru Index)
      c. The source is a Q-Tec upscale

  24. bikar writes:

    lol this is rly bad

  25. banger writes:

1 ep per disc? dang thats weird for a series like this

  26. Nettosama writes:

Well disk 2 apparently brings eps 2-3, maybe disk 1 had some extra stuff to compensate.

  27. coalgirl writes:

Disc 1 did have a 25 minute interview, but Pony Canyon is trying to milk a few extra yen by splitting 13 episodes into 7 BDs instead of 6 or 4.

  28. Ovindel writes:

I still would like to know why JC Staff can’t make a proper 1080p bluray? They made it with the computer, so it’s just running a script at a different resolution, isn’t it?
    Anyway, thanks for the release!

  29. bautrey writes:

    YAY!!

And i think gg is the better choice for subs. I’ve seen both and gg just feels better. (also keep the translation for vagina bones in ep 7 :D)

  30. miracles writes:

It’s possible you do 1080p if the source of BD not meet :
    a. The source is interlaced (Exception – White Album)
    b. The source is JC Staff (Exception – To Aru Index)
    c. The source is a Q-Tec upscale

    Thank’s

  31. H writes:

Too bad the BDs aren’t that great quality.

  32. Zalis writes:

@banger: 13-ep anime series on 7 DVD/BDs in Japan are distressingly common. Remember that the next time you see complaints about R1 releases doing the same number of eps on 3 or 4 discs.

  33. MrNoName writes:

GG subs… satisfying immature people that like immature translations

  34. Hedd writes:

As long as the aardvark part is changed to Baku, it’s all good. I’m usually pretty tolerant but that one thing tweaked me for some strange reason.

  35. banger writes:

hmm anime airs in the middle of the night and costs like $50+ per 20 minute episode. its like they are purposely trying to not be popular.

    • coalgirl writes:

Actually, the first disc was only like $30. The rest are 2 episodes/disc at ~$70, which is typical. If anything, this is actually cheaper than usual.

Look at Shiki, for example. 3 episodes for 7000 yen. OK, that’s a bit more expensive than most BDs, but still within an acceptable range. Now, starting disc 7, it becomes 2 episodes a disc. You’d expect a 33% decrease in price to like 4800 yen. But no, we only get a 1000 yen decrease to 6000 yen.

  36. Firminus writes:

I always hate to be the one that ask, but can you do the NCOP and NCED?

    • Cyras writes:

You do know that there isn’t always NCOP and NCED included, right? Since I’m not the one doing this and don’t have the BDMV, I don’t know. I’m just saying that u can’t assume they are always included.

    • coalgirl writes:

If there were then we’d have ordered chapters and they’d be included.

  37. Firminus writes:

I just thought I would ask….I didn’t think it was on the first disk, but all well (and I meant just the NCOP and NCED not like “ordered chapters”)

  38. MrNoName writes:

thank you again for another video, in which i would later mux with a better script

  39. Havoc10K writes:

I watched the first ep and gotta say JCstaff improved 🙂
I love the show and am defo archiving this, i find it funny but for some reason I prefer CG bigger files than a lot more compressed files 🙂
very likely cuz my CPU is dying, but I prefer a good job than a overworked job 🙂

  40. pickle writes:

Can you tell my why changed subs from Ayako to gg?
I’ve only seen Ayako and I was wondering what benefits gg subs have to ayako-subs.
(Considering that gg localizes their subs)

    • coalgirl writes:

The Ayako subs are very poorly edited, while gg is. I can usually fix over-localization and trolling, but editing is not my forte.

  41. Merushi writes:

Well, since IB’s doing there own BD’s, it would be strange to use their subtitles. Though your quality is better than IB’s. So I’ll just take you vid and mux it with IB’s subtitles 🙂

  42. puma99dk| writes:

normally i perfer Ayako over GG i have been happy with them, but either way when it comes to Blu-Ray i trust CG and take their choice of subs they use

respect for the good work =^_^=

  43. Clam writes:

    please do the madoka blurays, the only other group doing it at this point is doki ;_;

  44. billy writes:

@bikar Are you retarded? You don’t need an account to download from bakabt.

  45. billy writes:

@jorma This show was definitely not one of the best for this season. There wasn’t even a proper ending.

  46. Arran writes:

@Clam Coalgirls do not need to do madoka since doki are using yesy subs to do the blu rays which were the best group for madoka. It would be a waste of time for coalgirls to do madoka.
