Well I could care less if it’s dvd or blueray or whatever amount of P’s it has in it.
    Thank you 🙂

  3. miii writes:

May I ask what fansub’s script you used?

  4. Jema writes:

Also would like to know subgroup used.

  5. Ryu writes:

It seems that there is a problem with episode 09.
It plays without problems, the problem seems to be the file itself. The thumbnail wont load and furthermore it constantly takes multiple processes of the explorer.exe in use. It is impossible for me to rename or delete the file.
    Please check on this file.
    And thanks for you work.

  6. Ryu writes:

Forgot to say, the problem occured in the 1280×720 TV batch, not in the dvd batch (http://www.nyaatorrents.org/?page=torrentinfo&tid=59823).

Really great show! I just started watching it and I can’t stop!

cant wait for blu-ray awesome show

  9. bikar writes:

*if there will be on 🙂

  10. yo writes:

I would love for this rumor to be true. It was the show that led me to your website, and it’s still one of my favorites.

  11. ChrisK writes:

    Probably SD upscale …

  12. bikar writes:

yea.. :s but still that would be a good reason to rewatch 🙂

  13. zaockle writes:

I really highly doubt it. Let’s be frank. JC Staff and Blu-Rays don’t mix well as we already know. So why would they go back and torment themselves to make an upscale? I kind of hope they don’t make it, because I already bought the R1 DVDs, so it’ll make me feel inferior if they make BDs.

  15. tormaid writes:

I still think a 720p BD would look allot better than the DVD even if it is an upscale. The TV 720p looks like crap. FLAC would be a nice addition too.

  16. wtfbbqzomfg writes:

When will people learn to use ogg instead of aac?
Even though the audio is bullshit, thanks for the release.

  17. Ma15 writes:

wtfbbqzomfg – Though Vorbis is a better codec than AAC (in many ways), AAC is probably the best codec for using OC’s, is what I was told

  18. puma99dk| writes:

if it’s pure BD it would be awesome, but if it’s SD upscale, i srsly doubt it’s good :<

  19. IHM writes:

    >Dennou Coil

    😀

  20. elio writes:

I suggest just using animeyoshi scripts

  21. ano writes:

    learn to use ogg?

    wat

Is he implying it isn’t old as dirt and the fansubbers/dvdrippers already hasn’t been there done that?

  22. Gar writes:

    Cool!

And I hope Dennou Coil gets a BD box someday!

  23. Zalis writes:

That reminds me, I need to re-DL this DVD version…

    Re: Elio’s suggestion:

Reasons not to use AnimeYoshi subs:

    1) Awkward, overliteral editing kills the flow of the dialogue. gg/qq/cg’s were much better, and didn’t have the sort of overlocalization that people complained about in later gg/cg releases. And from the lines I checked, CGi fixed the major joke/troll lines in cg’s subs.
    2) Ani-Y used a bunch of hardsubbed AFX for signs, which would have to be manually duplicated.
    3) I assume they’d have to be retimed for the DVD/BD video.

The other option would be to substitute or add the R1 subs, if they are accessible. IIRC they include honorifics&stuff.

  24. bikar writes:

there is no DDL for this
can I upload it on fileserve and post it here ?

  25. Tori writes:

Do want; whether it’s an upscale or not, it’ll give me a reason to rewatch this series.

  26. leolifoiol writes:

As long as they won’t use ordered chapters on it I’m happy. I love this anime.
Why no OCs? Because for the DVD release it was done and turned out bad, because this show doesn’t really “like” it.
Example? bit and pieces of OP and ED gets in the actual show, so the “ordered” thing cut audio and there’s audible and annoying audio glitcth in every episode (-1)…
Now flame on me, it’s the sad truth.
Let’s hope on a better work this time…

  27. Merry writes:

@leolifoiol I have yet to see anything wrong with them. Give exact times? And ill see if mine do also. If not its your codecs.

  28. noko writes:

Why not just use AniYoshi subs for all 25 episodes?

    • coalgirl writes:

This was from 2 years ago when we formed to troll Coalguys by releasing their subs without their trolling. Aniyoshi is better, but we couldn’t troll Coalguys by using Aniyoshi subs now, could we?

  29. leolifoiol writes:

    @merry
Ah, the old “it’s your codec” lame excuse… (well, good thing not from the encoders/group)
you want exact times? listen (carefully) at the end of every episode, just before the ED starts, you’ll hear bit and pieces of cutted audio (ordered chap and fading audio doesn’t really mix well… you’ll hear the fade being cut…)
You can’t hear? must be your ears… (ok, ok, ok, joking here, but if you listen with headphones you’ll hear for sure).
Since the dvdrip was an old release, I suppose they improved their know-how, and release a fine bdrip. Btw, I have nothing against oc, in fact they are a good idea most of the time, just that toradora DVD release made me angry… XD

  30. noko writes:

    Well, that’s too bad.

Since CoalGuys subs (regardless of how edited they are) are fucking terrible.

  31. puma99dk| writes:

There should come a OVA for the Toradora! Bluray Boxset so maybe they will make the serie in to bluray and not upscale ^^

I usually don’t download BD versions of anime I already have the TV version of. It only costs me extra bandwidth and HD space. Though for shows like Toradora! I gladly make an exception 🙂
