In order to keep the option of doing season 2 available, I felt I needed to fix this series. I fixed a few errors in the subs, and re-encoded to 10-bit. I also did the ED a little different this time, concentrating more on the video and less on the credits. I am still not sure if I will do season 2 or not, but this changes it from a definite “no” to a “maybe”.

Awesome AWESOME!!! Thanks heaps for releasing the last 2 episodes. I’ll have to start watching this again from the start. Those new endings are very cool.

  3. firefish5000 says:

Im having problems watching this, could someone post something like an md5 check sum for ep 1?

  4. Alex says:

    Thanks _A LOT_ ^_^

  5. MogMoogle1 says:

Looks like ep 8’s ending credit still needs fixing, unless my computer hates that episode.

  6. virox says:

Something got fucked up in episode 8, the ending is too long for the song, it’s moving slower than the original ending.
    Any chance for a fix?

  7. s0g0 says:

I also experience difficulties with the endings!

  8. PochiKyu says:

Thanks a lot for the release! :3

However, as aforementioned by others, the subs for the endings needs to be re-timed! They are quite off :<

  9. Amukun says:

Will you please sub the ‘Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Animated Commentary’ as well? <3 Love you Coalgirls :3

  10. Ovindel says:

I think the font for the ending is not included in episode 2, or the typesetting has gone wrong.

  11. eji says:

    is this fixed?

  12. James says:

Thanks for the UL!! Will seed your wonderful work!! :3

  15. Kaka says:

Wow, a re-encode… I wonder how this matches up to ANE. ANE was better than your previous version, then again that was 8bit whereas ANE is 10 bit. A comparison now would be nice.

There is no way my Ayase can be this yandere!

  17. IZEROII says:

Thanks for the update. Should def do season 2 with Eve subs. For the sake of completion? ; )

    @ChrisK

i’m not complaining, but my imouto just got fatter.

    ayase is trash

  22. necromanteion says:

Can we get patches for the v2s?

    • coalgirl says:

Even if you read our about page and saw that we never do patches, it still would be pointless. Everything is new, so the patch would be at least the size of the final encode.

  23. necromanteion says:

Ah, good to know. Never bothered to read the About page, but I know you put out patches for the Denpa Onna v2s, so I based my assumption off that.

  24. elmaton04 says:

CRF 15 at 1o bit? That’s crazy, but worth it. The video quality is much better than the original.

  25. pepperoni says:

The subs fixed from your old version or is it including Mazui’s ” cleaned up script?” That they released not to long ago that’s over at Nyaa?

    • coalgirl says:

Hm, I actually preserved more details and covered more banding. Never would’ve thought that. XD

  26. @pepperoni
I checked and the subs are just slightly modified versions of the old release, not the “cleaned up script” from Mazui’s batch release

  27. minhgurluver says:

You still haven’t fixed the OP? The last sentence is “ichi pe-ji kurai”.

  28. pepperoni says:

@HeavenlyArmed Thanks for the heads up, I’ll just stick with Mazui’s update.
    Script > Video always.

  29. Tatsujin says:

Best release yet for Ore no Imouto S1. Someone needs to post this on BBT.

  30. mtm says:

    @pepperoni,
i never understood this aspect of anime:
“why people get so caught up in subtitles during audio/visual media”
as long as you understand what’s going on, no need to get your panties in a bunch over a language you don’t even 100% understand in the first place.
but hey, nobody is taking away your freedom to totally disregard common sense. knock yo’self out with your tv-quality video.

  31. pepperoni says:

    @mtm
I never understood this aspect about others preferred preference becoming a disagreement and getting their panties in a bunch to make a comment on it.

Let me check your logic. I should be fine with the Mazui script in Coalgirls latest update of Oreimo since I should be able to understand what’s going on but forgo that same script Coalgirl uses that has been updated by Mazui themselves? Hmm. Yeah… Also those “tv quality” are BDs.

What’s next? Having issue on the quality of the encode by either group?
Keep your bored life to yourself.

  32. Dhruv says:

So is this the part 4 of 6 part Coalgirl Saturday Night Family Movie series using playall? Not sure if my sister would like it. ;)

  33. @mtm
Wow. Just wow. I never thought someone could be so retarded. For starters, Mazui used ANE’s encodes of the BDs for their batch, so your “tv quality” comment is invalid. And would you rather have a script that has tons of distracting English errors breaking your immersion, or a script that’s properly presented and gets everything right? Actually, scratch that. Judging by your grammar, I doubt you’d be able to point out English problems in the first place.

    • coalgirl says:

The original Mazui subs were quite good. I wouldn’t say they have tons of distracting English errors breaking your immersion. But I chose to use the originals modified because they include some original translations, making it closer to a release from us.

  34. @coalgirl
That was more just my argument against his general statement about “why care about the quality of the subs?” Mazui’s original subs *were* pretty decent to begin with, and I understand the reasoning for adjusting the subs from your own release instead of using their batch.

  35. Haku says:

    Thank you for this! =)

Also, I don’t understand this whole immersion thing. Our language doesn’t have all these honorifics to begin with. Why does combining two languages add to that?

  36. EpicOnePiece says:

    @coalgirl
“Hm, I actually preserved more details and covered more banding. Never would’ve thought that. XD”
But don’t you think it was too much noise?? It isn’t really a show where one can accept so much noise.

  37. Alex says:

    Second season is *nice*
    Hope you’ll encode it :)

  38. Alex Minuti says:

hey i was just wondering are these the uncensored version?
